This study intends to conduct a small, prospective, single-center clinical study to explore and evaluate the efficacy and safety of pyrrotinib combined with capecitabine and bevacizumab in HER2-positive advanced breast cancer with brain metastases. The overall objective is to provide a new drug regimen for HER2 positive breast cancer patients with brain metastases by balancing survival benefits and patient quality of life.
QARIN 1 is a study of [18F]DPA-714 Translocation Protein (TSPO) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for longitudinal, quantitative assessment of brain neuroinflammation following whole brain radiation therapy. This TSPO PET, uses a radioactive tracer. An optional MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) will also be performed to monitor brain microstructure damages induced by neuroinflammation. Primary Objectives - Assessment of temporal and regional variability of uptake of translocator protein (TSPO) positron emission tomography (PET) tracer. - Regional variability will be assessed in medial temporal lobe, frontal...
The purpose of this study is to find out if radiation therapy followed by intrathecal trastuzumab and pertuzumab is safe and will result in improved survival in HER2 positive breast cancer which has metastasized to the leptomeninges.
Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether giving radiation with concomitant and adjuvant temozolomide versus radiation with adjuvant PCV is more effective in treating anaplastic glioma or low grade glioma.
Refractory pituitary adenoma is characterized by invasive tumor growth, continuous growth and/or hormone hypersecretion in spite of standardized multi-modal treatment such as surgeries, medications or radiations. Quality of life or even lives are threatened by these tumors. According to the 2017 World Health Organization's new classification guideline of pituitary adenoma, patients have to suffer from symptoms or complications caused by these tumors, to bear a heavy financial burden, and to accept additional therapeutic side effects when the diagnosis of "refractory pituitary adenoma" is made. If refractory pituitary adenoma could be...
This early phase I trial identifies the side effects of stereotactic radiosurgery before surgery in treating patients with cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Radiation may stimulate an anti-tumor immune response. Giving stereotactic radiosurgery before surgery may reduce the risk of the cancer coming back after surgery.
This clinical study is a parallel, prospective observational single-centre trial in patients presenting with 5 to 30 brain metastases. Patients to receive either stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) alone or SRS plus whole brain radiation (WBRT) will be enrolled.
This is a prospective, single-center observational clinical study aimed at the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy combined with PD-1 inhibitors and chemotherapy in the treatment of Chinese patients with symptomatic NSCLC with brain metastases.
This is a Prospective Randomized Open Blinded Endpoint phase II clinical trial. The study will be adaptive: an interim analysis is planned after enrolment of 20 patients in each arm of treatment (WBRT and AGuIX® + WBRT), to select and continue the study with group(s) that present the best response rate to the experimental treatment (AGuIX® + WBRT). The main endpoint will be evaluated by a blinded endpoint committee.
It has been reported that radiation therapy followed by PCV chemotherapy (procarbazine, lomustine and vincristine) could improve progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with high-risk WHO grade 2 gliomas after surgery. However, procarbazine is not available in China. In clinical practice, Chinese doctors often use radiotherapy combined with temozolomide to treat these patients, though large-scale prospective studies are lacking. This trial aims to confirm whether RT combined with temozolomide can improve PFS and OS in patients with high-risk low-grade gliomas.
