Testing Sacituzumab Govitecan Therapy in Patients With HER2-Negative Breast Cancer and Brain Metastases
This phase II trial studies the effect of sacituzumab govitecan in treating patients with HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Sacituzumab govitecan is a monoclonal antibody, called sacituzumab, linked to a chemotherapy drug, called govitecan. Sacituzumab is a form of targeted therapy because it attaches to specific molecules on the surface of cancer cells, known as Trop-2 receptors, and delivers govitecan to kill them. Giving sacituzumab govitecan may shrink the cancer in the brain and/or extend the time until the cancer gets worse.

Testing the Addition of Whole Brain Radiotherapy Using a Technique That Avoids the Hippocampus to Stereotactic Radiosurgery in People With Cancer That Has Spread to the Brain and Come Back in Other Areas of the Brain After Earlier Stereotactic Radiosurgery
This phase III trial compares the effect of adding whole brain radiotherapy with hippocampal avoidance and memantine to stereotactic radiosurgery versus stereotactic radiosurgery alone in treating patients with cancer that has spread to the brain and come back in other areas of the brain after earlier stereotactic radiosurgery. Hippocampus avoidance during whole-brain radiation therapy decreases the amount of radiation that is delivered to the hippocampus, which is a brain structure that is important for memory. The Efficacy and Safety of Eutideron, Etoposide, and Bevacizumab in Patients With Brain Metastases From Breast Cancer.
This study was a single-arm, open-label, phase II study of breast cancer patients with brain metastases. Eligible patients received a regimen of eutidrone(30mg/m2/d,iv,d1-5,21d/cycle), etoposide(30mg/m2/d,iv,d1-3,21d/cycle), and bevacizumab (10mg/kg,d1,21d/cycle).At least 4 to 6 cycles were administered, and if patients had a response or stable disease, bevacizumab was used as maintenance therapy until disease progression or intolerable toxicity.
